No, We Don’t Get Paid to Tell You to Use AI
There is no affiliate pitch hiding behind the requirement. We require the tool because our process uses the tool.
People are right to be suspicious when a company says, “Before we work together, go get this other product.” Usually somebody is making money somewhere.
Not here.
Epic App Solutions does not require Codex or Claude because we get paid when you sign up. We require access when the project needs it because our development process was designed around clients being able to work with AI directly.
If you hired a carpenter and the job required a specific bit, saw or measuring tool, nobody would call that a conspiracy. It is equipment.
For our shop, AI access can be equipment.
We may ask you to review an instruction set, test a concept, maintain project context, work through a handoff, or interact with something we have prepared specifically for your case. Without the tool, that workflow breaks.
We can do a lot. But the goal is not to trap your project inside our account. The goal is to create a working relationship where your project context can move with you and where you understand enough of the process to own what is being built.
That is one reason we establish an Ai.Id around your case. It helps our systems recognize the project across the different agents and tools involved in the work.
Devin sits much higher in our workflow and tends to work later with our engineers rather than being a basic client requirement. If your project never reaches the kind of engineering stage where we want Devin involved, you may never touch it.
If we did not tell you to get it, don’t get it.
